![]() ![]() I saw all the fans turning and seemed like it was going thru post-boot process. 2nd time, I held down this "reset" button. When I press the some kind of "reset" button (next to the green light on the power supply) once, it turns the fans on instantly but then everything died instantly.Ĥ. The amber light (next to PWR1") on the motherboard is lit whether I use the original DELL power supply or brand new Power supply.ģ. When I plug in power cord to the DELL original power supply, I don't see the green light.Ģ. So I simply disconnected all the cables from the new PS and hooked up the original power supply. I wanted to take out the new PS, but I could not because the PS is sorted of boxed in the chasis and I could not find anything that would release the PW. When I received the computer, it came with the original DELL power supply. ![]() ![]() According to the user, the PC stopped turning on one morning and someone installed the power supply, but to no avail. I inherited a DELL XPS 8700 that won't turn on for repair. ![]()
